The Science of Staying Alive in a Freezer

The cold is real.

- How cold is it, Jonathan?

7 F outside
16 F inside car
So cold it hurts to laugh.

- How could could it get, Jonathan?

Well, let's see...
I survived the night in 7 F cold. Temperature in Boulder has never dipped below 0 F, so I should be fine.

For reference, a kitchen freezer is kept at 0 F and the refrigerator at 40 F. To stay alive in a freezer, you just need a car and some blankets. You've heard of the expression 'out of the frying pan and into the fire'. Well here's a new one 'Out of the fridge and into the freezer!'
Some say the world will end in fire, some say in ice... [I'd] say that for destruction, ice is also great and would suffice! (Robby the Frosty man)
The water in my bottle froze like this. It's a cylindrical shell. Liquid water above and below inside the ice chamber. Neato!

And unrelated junk...

Opinion vote by dropping coins. I put a coin in the Poinsettia box. MTV Jackass would take the entire basket of coins and stuff one side of the ballot to make Jeb Bush proud.

As meaningful a ballot as any
