I asked a librarian the estimated worth of the building, and she gave me a figure of fifteen million dollars. A couple of security guys were nearby and they told me the building used to be an MCI call center. Pikes Peak Library bought the place at a bargain and converted it. Many local businesses and tech companies funded various parts of the library. The library opened in June of 2014.
