On the Little Drummer Boy song, I play once through following the music, then the second time I go at my own speed and I think it sounds better 'cause I play what I feel, not what is written. Then after a few tempo changes, I improvise notes inspired by the music and finish by repeating the melody.
Next time I need to add:

and Sciliene by Gabriel Faure
I wish I had WiFi at the spot I play at. Then I could just FluteTunes.com everything from my tablet.
