Travel journals

Sunday to Monday, April 24th to 25th.
Spokane, WA.

Pedestrian bridge connecting universities in Spokane

Bone shark

Shark Ride On
$8.88

I would totally ride on that thing.

Whitworth University

Small religious school north of the Spokane River. I snuck into the gym lockers for a free shower.

Happy faces

Somebody had a depressive episode reviewing this place on Google Maps:

You know you got it right, but it's like that anywhere, man. Now let's all sing Kumbaya.

It's not the tattoos

"Really, Mom.
Not finding a job has nothing to do with all the piercings and tattoos."
- Tattoo on car

Gonzaga University

The kids here are athletic. From Sunday morning to evening the campus was bustling with students running races, batting baseballs, throwing frisbees and standing six feet tall.

The Most Dangerous Place on Earth

Pond at Gonzaga University.

Those calm tranquil waters must be infested with piranhas, electric eels, flying squirrels, and lions.

Washington State University & Eastern Washington University

are just cross the River from Gonzaga. Their collaboration confused the heck out of me trying to find my way around. They share a sign, a library and a campus to save money, I guess.

Spokane River

Goodwill Outlet

I got here an hour before closing, picked up $2 of clothes. There wasn't much appealing rummage. I think people in Colorado donate nicer things than in Spokane. Even comparing one hour vs two days experience. No Mexican crews here either - they didn't take all of it, so it wasn't much.

I was done with Spokane.

How to pronounce 'Spokane'

Slept in this rest area outside of town.

♫ The lion sleeps tonight. ♫ The lion wasn't there, it was a picture uploaded to Google Maps by someone else. Or is it like 'Life of Pi' where I am actually the lion and the rest area is a metaphor for something? Meh, whatever makes for a better story.
