Sanitation Etiquette

Wash your hands before eating, son.

Torrance. Los Angeles county, California

This woman (pictured on the right) pushed the ice lever with her hand at a beverage station. She rubbed her hand together below the dispensers, using an ice cube as soap & water. She made her son do the same. Then they filled their plates at the buffet.

I was laughing so hard at witnessing this platinum fob moment.

Then I thought about how gross it was. Putting your dirty hands where people drink from, smearing that nastiness onto wet fingers, then grabbing serving utensils? If I were the manager, I would refund her money and tell her in private to leave my restaurant.

On her way back, she held two plates in one hand and put a cup to the chocolate milk. Made her son pull the lever because her hands were full.

First, too lazy to walk to the bathroom? Then too lazy to make a second trip for drinks, or for food? It offends common decency.

Poor kid. But he'll get older and then I won't feel sorry for him anymore. Yuk what a mess to be raised that way.
