Seven Falls Hike in Tucson, AZ

It is a challenging trek, but it is popular and does not exclude children and healthy seniors.

The entrance and parking is at Sabino Canyon. The hike to the Seven Falls is further east on Bear Canyon Trail (#29).

There are paved roads on this stretch and cactusi'ses. It was pretty boring, so I whipped out my flute and marched to music.

After the Bear Overlook Picnic Area, terrain got interesting. There are ups and downs on rocky footing. There are many opportunities to wet your feet in the stream as you hop over stones.

Some sections are not labeled and you may cross the stream back to where you started. Ha ha. Just look for people on the return hike if you're not sure.

Seven Falls

The waterfall is well beyond Big Bear Rock and just before the trail zig-zags up a mountain. It wasn't marked on Google Maps so I added it.

Not as photogenic from a distance, but you can try to count the seven little trickles.

There's a big pool of water at the base of the fall. It is cool and refreshing to drink.
