Tucson, AZ
Saturday I didn't do shit, okay? Grumble grumble.
Woke up with my laptop resting on my chest, lying on a bench outside university student center. Hotels near University of Arizona didn't have breakfast. I had to go out to the sticks. And they didn't really have breakfast either. Mostly just coffee and a few donuts.
I passed by morning services for homeless at a park on the way back. Church volunteers administered a heavy dose of God before doling out food. I took a bottled water, that was it.
This Asian man wearing a cowboy hat gave a zealous sermon on being good instead of evil. The contrast of his broken English with his American behavior made me smile.
Good vs Evil
Lots of dog walkers, joggers, and bicyclists cross the promenade through University. I sat outside a stadium in the morning.
Had lunch at Golden Corral across town. Passed by a golf course - seems kinda wasteful to maintain all that grass and water in the desert, but they used recycled water so I guess that makes it okay. Came back to the library. Evening storms passed through while I was inside. I tried to sleep on the student union bench again, but this time a campus security bicycled through and woke me up. I found a university building off the main campus, a Water Resources Research Center and slept there with mosquitoes.

Sunday I decide to get moving again.
Live band at Mexican restaurant
Buffet & La Bamba
Mountains smothered in clouds.
Flat tire. Inner tube scuffed all over. How does that happen?
I thought the round dots in my treads were harmless pebbles, but no. I pulled out about ten thorns that didn't puncture the tube, but over time scratched through it.
Beautiful day
Bicycle path out of Tucson is a wash when it rains. Good thing I got off before tonight's flash flooding.
Deceptively beautiful clouds waiting to turn foul.
The sky broke around 8 pm.
Lightning flashes every second. Hard to see. I told myself that the lightning is in the atmosphere and rarely touches the ground. And if it does, it'd rather hit a tree. Cuz being afraid wasn't helping me get from the bike path to some businesses.
Used Dunkin Donuts as a shelter. Now I'm at a hospital across the street. Hospitable lady gave me towels to dry off. I was already dry, so I wrapped Ulix nice and warm.
What a weird looking tube. Is that one of those penis valves...
