What I want to tell my kid some day
生活是追求你所要的。不用怕失败。人人会有的!那不算什么。你要抬起来头。路程长着呢!到达只用纷纷努力。
Life is what you want. Don't be afraid of failure. Everyone will have it! That is nothing. You have to lift your head. The distance is long! Arrival only takes hard work.
生活要追求对你有意义的事情, 也要结交理解你和支持你的人。这样成功才带来愉快。找的朋友和爱人是自愿的。社会大。你要跑原。
Living life you ought to pursue things that are meaningful to you, and also meet people who understand you and support you. Only in this way can success brings happiness. Friends and lovers are voluntary. Society is big. You have to run far.
坚持做下去,无论多艰难,那一天你就会成功得!
Stick to it, no matter how hard, and you will succeed one day!
And if this day you have made an effort you are happy with, you can be proud of yourself and know you are living a worthwhile life.

How to Embed Video from Google Photos
This method uses access from Google Drive to create a embedded link
1. Upload video to Google Photos from phone.
2. Go to Google Drive, click the gear icon for settings... then choose settings... then scroll down and check the box next to "Create a Google Photos folder" and "Automatically put your Google Photos into a folder in My Drive".
Wait until the video file shows up in the new folder called "Google Photos".
3. Right click on the video file, get shareable link
4. Copy this HTML code below, replacing "LINKxxxTOxxxURLxxxHERE" with the "id" contained in the shareable link for the video file
<iframe height="480" src="https://drive.google.com/file/d/LINKxxxTOxxxURLxxxHERE/preview" width="640"></iframe><br />
Example:
Shareable link is
or....
Open the preview of the video,
then use the three dots to open the video in a new window,
then three dots again to select embed item.
Then copy the HTML code, which will be the same as the code you created above but making you take dumb extra steps loading the video for no reason because there's no direct option to get an embed code because peoples is dumbs.
5. Paste that HTML code into the HTML editor tab for Blogger, or whatever. You know what to do.

Just do it
I don't have to be good at something to do it. It just has to be worth doing.
What does a famous artist with talent and success admire in a partner who is relatively unknown? Maybe it is courage and perseverance.
Everyone has days when she doesn't feel adequate or competent. For someone with a lot of talent, the possibility that she fail to live up to the expectations of her critics and fans can be frightening and devastating.
She might admire someone who can face the world every day and give his best effort, no matter what people say about him. Who has the resolve to keep going, no matter if his shows turn out successful or not.
Beau Bokan, musician, talking about her wife Lights (Valerie) Poxleitner.
He has the kind of attitude I want to develop.
I don't have to be good at something to do it. I do it whether or not it makes me successful. I do it simply because it's meaningful to me and I want it done. That reason alone makes it worth doing.
I think we fall into a trap when we are confronted with difficulty to believe we are not good at something and decide to give up trying. Instead of asking ourselves how good we are, we really should be asking how much do we care?
I shouldn't let fear of failure stop me from doing the only things that really matter to me.
I want to take raw elements of life and merge them into a way of living, a philosophy. I want to imbue the mundane with reason and purpose.
I study, run, write, and sing.
I want to discover a truth and express it through art. I want to understand a science and use it to build an efficient machine.
I learn, explore, understand, and create.
I want to transmute the lead into gold - by one part art and one part science - because I am an alchemist.

Beau Bokan, musician, talking about her wife Lights (Valerie) Poxleitner.
"She has always complimented my voice and my song writing even when I feel like I’m not the best at it. I don’t personally feel like I’m a good singer or a frontman. I just go out there and do it."

Washington and Old Dominion Trail
Purcellville, VA |
The Washington and Old Dominion Trail is a 45 mile paved bicycle path from Purcellville, VA to Shirlington, VA. I completed a round-trip ride on it yesterday.
It took me from 10 am to 11 pm. A distance of 90 miles in thirteen hours!
